This year's work at the Centre for Operation of Floating Objects focuses on fitting out the facility with cutting-edge equipment and sets of research apparatus.
The funding scheme for the project has been extended into the current year. The interiors of the laboratories are filling up with specialised equipment. It will allow innovative research to be carried out resulting in technological solutions that will find their application not only in the maritime economy.
We continually improve the research facilities' capacities to match contemporary global standards and allow our staff and students to work under the highest quality conditions.
The total value of the project is PLN 29 421 939.95 and the contribution from the European Funds stands at PLN 18 001 652.04.

The Centre's research areas include:
- positioning systems for crafts operating on the surface and underwater,
- autonomous, unmanned vessels (scale models),
- large structures constructed on land and at sea,
- multimodal maritime transport and logistics issue,
- risk and safety management systems for maritime transport,
- navigation and e-navigation systems.
