Laboratory of Automatic Tracking of Moving Objects has focused its research on the following issues:

• carrying out analysis of ship traffic lanes on shipping routes, approach tracks, port channels,
• carrying out analyses of ship traffic streams on shipping routes, approach tracks, port channels in terms of their technical and operational parameters,
• carrying out analyses of cargo transport streams with special attention to dangerous cargoes on shipping routes, approach lanes, port channels,
• carrying out analyses of shipping routes in terms of their adjustment to ship traffic streams,
• carrying out analyses of optimal data transmission protocols.
